The spring evaluation period is a great opportunity for college coaches to unearth talents that will fit their program. A good example is defensive back Jahmere Irvin-Sills from Eastern Christian Academy in Elkton, Md.

NC State was impressed with Irvin-Sills after a spring practice at his high school a couple weeks ago, enough that the Pack became one of 10 schools to offer the 5-foot-10, 173-pounder a scholarship.
