Robbins' Offer Was Kept a Secret
There is no question that Oklahoma has renewed it's focus in coast to coast recruiting and, unsurprisingly, on the East coast no state has been a more focal effort of their efforts than Florida.
And if any position has truly stolen the show in their Florida recruiting it's at defensive back where the Sooners have currently offered 22 uncommitted players with half of that total coming from the state of Florida.
One such player is Miami Southridge standout Lamar Robbins. The 6-foot-3, 188-pound prospect has seen his stock gradually rise through the spring but admits the Sooners offer was a bit of a special surprise - such a surprise that he didn't even know for some time that he actually had an offer.
"That was my first time I had ever heard from them, I didn't even know they were recruiting me, I couldn't believe it," Robbins said. "I guess they told my coach, I didn't find out until like almost two weeks after they left.
