More big news for the Bulldogs
On Tuesday Mississippi State formally announced their intentions to bowl in the north end zone at Davis Wade Stadium.
But the stadium expansion was not the only big news of the day for the Bulldogs football program. Columbus, Miss., three-star offensive tackle Jake Thomas also decided to commit to head coach Dan Mullen becoming MSU's 17th commitment for 2013.
"I've always has a cool relationship over there," Thomas said. "You kind of feel at home over there because it's close to home."
The 6-foot-6, 305-pounder is the latest Columbus Falcon to join the Bulldogs joining the likes of former quarterback Tyson Lee and current senior right guard Tobias Smith.
"It's real cool seeing them have success," Thomas said. "I really look up to them and they are really hard working guys."
Thomas was one of the standouts at State's Big Dawg Camp in July. It also marked his first action in several months after spraining his foot on the first day of spring practice and was in a cast for the next month.
