Younger Collier getting looks
Incoming Pitt freshman Kevin Collier will bring a lot more than 4,000-plus yards of rushing when he comes to Oakland this summer. He'll bring more than 36 touchdowns, and he'll bring more than the Rochester area's Player of the Year distinction. When Collier gets to Pitt, he'll bring along the Pitt staff's hopes of grabbing another high-scoring prospect from upstate New York: Kevin's little brother, Averin Collier. But it won't be easy for Dave Wannstedt and his staff.
While Kevin is getting ready for Pitt, Averin is getting ready for his junior year of high school. At 5-11, 192, the younger Collier still has two years left as a wide receiver at Churchville-Chili in Churchville, N.Y.
The Younger Collier said he is looking at camps hosted by Pitt, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Syracuse, among others.
