Four-star corner names his top four
Hollywood, Fla., Chaminade-Madonna four-star cornerback Akeem Auguste, the No. 38 overall prospect in the Sunshine State's class of 2007, has a number of offers to his credit, but four teams have managed to separate themselves from the pack.
"My top four schools are Florida, Florida State, Auburn and South Carolina," the 5-foot-11, 175-pound Auguste said. "All four of them have offered me now."
Auguste, who picked off seven passes as a junior, attended Auburn's camp last weekend and enjoyed the experience.
"I liked it at Auburn," he said. "I like how their players all stick together like a family. I enjoyed meeting some of their coaches. They said they thought I could make a big impact there."
Auguste, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds, will head to Florida's camp this weekend.
"Florida had the No. 1 recruiting class in the country last year, and I think their team will be pretty good this year. Coach (Doc) Holliday is my Florida recruiter. He thinks I could play early there and make a big impact."
