Jags quick to contact top kicker
The nation's No.1 kicker, Billy Bennett, committed to Boston College nearly a year ago. Even in the face of a head coaching change the San Diego (Calif.) Torrey Pines standout never wavered in his decision to go to Chestnut Hill. However, the 6-foot-1, 191-pounder was among the first of BC's recruits to receive a call from Eagle Coach Jeff Jagodzinski.
"I talked to Coach Jags yesterday," said Bennett. "Mike Siravo called me last week and told me he couldn't do any recruiting work until Friday.
"We didn't talk long but he seemed like a really nice guy, very down to earth. He said he was excited to be on campus and hoped I would be able to get out to Boston for an unofficial."
