Instate defender a physical marvel
Detroit Public League offensive coordinators feared playing against Detroit MacKenzie largely because of one player - defensive end Nick Perry. The 6-4, 215-pound prospect earned all-city accolades as a junior after recording over 60 solo tackles and recording approximately 14 sacks. Now, college coaches are looking to add the feared defender to their roster.
What makes Perry such a standout athlete is not only his size, but his speed and athleticism. Cry reported that when Perry was timed in the 40-yard dash at a recent combine in Texas, he clocked a 4.51. He also possesses a 36-inch vertical leap.
