On a mission
The Syracuse coaching staff has come out in the 2008 recruiting year like men on a mission, and the mission is to keep improving the Orange football team. Despite going after these prospects early and often they have not received a commitment yet but that is nothing to worry about.
In early March Rashad White decided to end the recruiting process early and commit to Rutgers. With no chance at White anymore the staff has set its sight on another one of the nation's top running backs, Lamaar Thomas.
Thomas 5-foot-10, 166-pounds from Fort Washington (Md.) Friendly is a member of the Rivals 250 players to watch as well as being named the 5th overall player in the Washington D.C. area by the Washington Post.
There is a top five for Thomas but with new offers coming in it could change from time to time. Those five schools are Maryland, Illinois, North Carolina, Boston College, and Syracuse.
