Champion O-lineman visits Cards
Louisville coach Steve Kragthorpe has said he's looking for recruits with an attitude focused on winning. It should be no surprise, then, that the Cards just made a scholarship offer to a big offensive lineman who has helped his team to three-straight Texas 5A Football Championships.
Jake Jackson, a 6-foot-4, 275-pound offensive guard prospect from near Dallas, has helped powerhouse Southlake Carroll to the 2004, 2005 and 2006 State Championships and his team is hoping for another ring this year.
While many players say they'd like to have their process done before their senior seasons, some don't get an offer before their senior year begins, making it impossible to announce a commitment. That won't be an issue for Jackson, who already has two offers - Baylor and Louisville - and is close to doubling that with UCLA and SMU on the verge of offers.
