Tide co-leader for in-state back
Up until this weekend, Vestavia Hills' athlete Justin Rogers had the Crimson Tide second in the pecking order for his services behind Clemson. After attending Alabama's A-Day scrimmage on Saturday along with multiple other top prospects and more than 92,000 fans, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound running back now has the Tide neck-and-neck with the Tigers.
"The trip moved Alabama up even with Clemson," said Rogers, who rushed for 2,100 yards and 31 touchdowns in 2006 against some of the toughest competition in the state. "Clemson was my favorite before Saturday, but the trip to Alabama pushed them up to the top with them. When that many people shows up for a scrimmage, it is unreal to think what a game will be like next fall."
