Arizona TE reels in offer
The Grand Canyon State is home to a tight end prospect who is beginning to see his stock turn in an upward direction. The players' name is Steven Figueroa (6-5, 225, 4.7) from Phoenix (Ariz.) Desert Vista.
Figueroa will be a three-year starter when his senior season rolls around. He earned first-team all-region honors for his junior season after accounting for 16 receptions for 262 yards and four touchdowns with a long of 45 yards. He as was a second-team all-region selection as a sophomore.
"Steven is a good blocker and he came around big time for us at the end of the season," Desert Vista coach Dan Hinds said. "We do a lot of things with him.
"We don't always put Steven with his hand down," Hinds said. "Sometimes he stands up like a wide receiver when we see a mismatch in the secondary. We also line him up in the slot.
