Brice Butler's visit to Notre Dame this weekend was short. But it was also sweet.

The 6-foot-2, 178-pound wide receiver from Norcross, Ga., arrived in South Bend on Friday, but his travel plans forced him to leave during halftime of the Blue-Gold Game.

"We had to fly out of Chicago, so we had to leave at halftime on Saturday," said Butler. "It was a good trip; I had a lot of fun."

During his trip, Butler had the opportunity to speak with the No. 1 player in the Class of 2007, Jimmy Clausen.

"We talked for a little bit about the X's and the O's," Butler said. "He said they need me up there because they need a big-time receiver."
