Ryan Murphy, the prize of KU's recruiting class, is recovering nicely from shoulder surgery. The 5-foot-11, 171-pound cornerback from Lawrence (KS) Free State High School injured his shoulder at the beginning of the football season and is finally close to 100 percent. Murphy, a four-star prospect, is looking forward to moving into Jayhawk Towers in early June.

Despite being listed as a cornerback, Murphy is looking forward to making a move to the offensive side of the ball when his career at KU begins.
