More with Covaughn
When you evaluate the best running back prospects in the west, the name Covaughn DeBoskie had better pop up quick. The Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton high school standout combines 4.4 forty speed and outstanding hands inside a 6-foot-1, 192-pound frame. BearTerritory caught up with the Grand Canyon state star for a photo segment.
What makes DeBoskie's hands both reliable and perfectly suited for RB?
"I practice a lot on that part of the game," DeBoskie stated, referring to the various hand drills he does. "My brother and I actually take those tennis stringers (small metal loops which wrap around your fingers) and wear those when we are doing drills, because they make it really hard to hang on to the ball."
