Orgeron gets early jump on '09 class
While Ole Miss head coach Ed Orgeron's 2008 signing class is taking shape with 19 commitments over six months from national signing day, he's also got a leg up on his 2009 class.
Orgeron is in search of a running back to replace BenJarvus Green-Ellis, and while he's got an assembled group of candidates and is recruiting more for the 2008 season, he's also got a commitment for his 2009 signing class that will provide depth and talent at the position in the future.
Payten Jason, a 6-foot, 190 pound running back from Jesuit High School in New Orleans committed to the Rebels last March and is now getting ready to enter his junior year in high school.
