Clelland stays light on his feet
Bigger isn't always better on the offensive line. Just ask Lane Clelland.
Instead of spending the off-season bulking up for the sake of size, the Notre Dame commitment has worked to maintain his lean look while adding strength to fit his style. At 6-foot-5, 270 pounds, Clelland probably doesn't strike many as a prototype offensive tackle, although his Rivals100 ranking and national scholarship offers obviously suggest otherwise.
"I'm not really sweating it trying to get to 300 pounds. I want to stay lean, fast and strong," Clelland said. "The coaches really like me being lean where I can still run and use my motor. I want to keep going the whole time, the whole game. That's something I really want to keep."
