In-state 2009 LB visits the Capstone
For the 2009 in-state Alabama class of football prospects, it may very well be the year of the linebacker, and one of the top prospects at that position is North Jackson's Tana Patrick, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound specimen. Patrick received a verbal offer from the Tide during the spring, and on Monday returned from a trip to the Crimson Tide's final summer camp.
"I really enjoyed the Alabama camp," said Patrick, who carries around his muscular frame with 4.5 40-yard dash speed. "We did a lot of one-on-one competition stuff, and I think I did pretty well. I got to improve a whole lot with my coverage work. We just did a lot of drills to improve our overall game."
Patrick already has a list of suitors that also include Auburn, Georgia and LSU. Patrick was the talk of Georgia's June camp, and each of the aforementioned schools have verbally offered the Stevenson, Ala. native.
