Other schools not giving up on Hester
Bruin commit Aaron Hester (6-1, 190, 4.44) from Compton's Dominguz HS is a hot commodity in the recruiting game. Lockdown corners are at a premium these days and that is exactly what he is. Since deciding on the Bruins back in March, other schools have not ceased their pursuits of his services. Michigan came calling last week and Oregon is still coming hard. Will Hester sway from the Bruins?
Hester was a star on both sides of the ball for league champ Dominguez last fall. On offense, he accounted for 20 receptions, 550 yards and five touchdowns. On defense, he recorded 45 tackles and three picks. Hester will expand his roles this year as he will pick-up kickoff and punt return duties. "I have speed, size and strength," boasts the the future Bruin. "I want to be the man for my team. The guy called on to make the big play. That is what they do with me on offense. I see time in the slot and am called on when a big play is needed."
