Cedric Foster and his Riverside (Calif.) J.W. North teammates practiced in pads for the first time on Monday. The 5-foot-8, 191-pound running back is already counting down the days until his team's opener against Redlands East Valley on September 7.

The Aztecs recently became the first to offer Foster a scholarship.

UTEP, UCLA, Purdue, Washington, Washington State and Arizona are other programs that have shown interest in Foster.
