With Nebraska's new coaching staff fast taking shape under head coach Bo Pelini, some former assistants have been informed that they will not be on the new staff. That can complicate NU's efforts to keep their current verbal commits part of their 2008 recruiting class.

Trotwood-Madison (Ohio) High linebacker Doug Rippy is one of those NU verbals who has heard that his recruiting coach will no longer be in Lincoln.
