Katy (Texas) Mayde Creek defensive tackle prospect Jowyn Ward took his first, and only, official visit to Arizona in mid-December and he committed to the Wildcats shortly thereafter.

In the weeks following, a couple Big 12 schools have been doing their best to sway Ward toward visiting them officially before totally closing the door on his recruitment.
