Scottsdale (Ariz.) Chaparral High School standout Deveron Carr was a sleeper recruit who did not play as a junior due to injury. After a transfer and standout combine performance, he developed into a clear-cut Division I prospect, and the Sun Devils elected to offer him a scholarship.

Carr was one of the top two-way players in the state last season, and he earned all-state honors as a return specialist. The No. 24 prospect in the Arizona State class is one of nine Sun Devil commits.
