Rivals250 linebacker taking his time
It appears that linebacker is a huge position of need for Texas A&M in 2009, but so far the Aggies haven't had a whole lot of luck with the prospects already offered. However, that might change as they are working their way into the thick of it with Abilene's Chris Williams.
Right now the 6-foot, 230-pound hard-hitting defender has had plenty of time to focus on his recruiting as spring practice ended very early for him.
"I hurt my knee the very first day," said Williams. "I partially tore my meniscus."
While Williams says it wasn't a bad tear, it will be enough to keep him out for the rest of the spring.
"I'm not going to come back for spring training," he said. "There's no point. They said I'll be out two to four weeks. It didn't hurt that bad when I did it. I finished practice with it. I went and got an MRI and it wasn't that bad of a tear. It was at the very edge."
