Gordon steals the show in Cass Tech victory
On Friday evening, Detroit Cass Tech faced off against Detroit Pershing in a contest that featured numerous Michigan recruits. While U-M running back commitment Teric Jones and former defensive tackle commit William Campbell are the two that fans of the Maize and Blue know the best, the star of the game was safety prospect Thomas Gordon, who helped propel his team to a 21-7 victory.
A year ago, Gordon played at quarterback for the Technicians, but showed off excellent skills on the defensive side of the ball at the Michigan summer camp, earning him greater attention in recruiting circle. As a senior, he has continued to work as a signal caller, but has taken on an expanded role, manning his team's free safety position as well.
