Shamari Benton has had something of an up and down season. On the down side, his team, Birmingham (Mich.) Brother Rice is 3-2 after a close loss to Orchard Lake St. Mary's and Benton had to sit out the game with a hamstring problem.

The upside however, has been very good. Over the course of his first four games, Benton recorded 42 tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery. Benton is excited to be getting back on the field this week against an undefeated Warren (Mich.) De La Salle team.
