Forcier confident he will be ready
When a team starts the season like Michigan has this year, a lot of negative attention gets heaped on the quarterback position. There has certainly been plenty of that in Ann Arbor, but the future starts next year and San Diego (Calif.) Scripps Ranch quarterback Tate Forcier feels he'll be ready to help bolster the play at that position.
Redshirt freshman Steven Threet has taken a majority of the snaps at the quarterback position this fall, but the 6-6, 225-pounder is not of the dual-threat variety. The 6-1, 190-pound Forcier, along with fellow quarterback commitment Shavodrick Beaver of Wichita Falls, Texas, do have run and pass skills.
