Spring Tour: Boca Raton High School
Mark Stampini
PantherRage.com Our spring tour brought us to Boca Raton High School to checkout the Bobcats who are making the jump from 4A to 6A in classification. Right now they are going through a coaching change in the spring as they have not officially named a head coach for next fall. We take a look at some of their top prospects.
Class of 2010:
Justin Halley - Safety
Halley is a 6 foot 2, 170-pound safety that just picked up his first offer from FIU. He said he was also hearing from UCF who was at practice on Wednesday to watch him. Halley is a real good athlete who runs well for such a tall athlete. He had the hit of the day laying out his younger brother Conner who came across the middle trying to catch a pass. Terrell Williams - Cornerback
The 5 foot 9, 170-pound Williams showed good cover skills playing cornerback in the team portion of practice. Williams will also see time at wide receiver. FIU, Wagner and UCF have shown interest in Williams so far.
Ed Sullivan - Quarterback
The biggest knock on Sullivan is the fact he is 6 foot. He has a strong arm, with a quick release, and good mobility. Sullivan throws well on the run as he hit a couple deep balls after scrambling out of the pocket.
Jeremy Retzsch - Wide Receiver
The 6 foot 3, 180-pound Retzsch was the main target for Sullivan continually getting deep. He has the ability to go up and grab the ball over shorter defensive backs.
Underclassman to watch:
Class of 2012 prospect Keith Byars II., son of the former NFL player, broke off a long run in the team portion of practice. Though he is not as big as his dad he is a bulldozer at running back.
Boca Raton hosts Santaluces on May 28th in their spring game.
