He loves football. And may hope to one day be a star on a high school football field.

For now, 12-year-old Nicholas Sasso will have to settle for being a star in the stands. At the local college.

Sasso, of South River, NJ, is now a fixture in the crowd at Rutgers football games. Or rather, he's a fixture on the jumbotron whenever the school plays a Bon Jovi song.

Sasso gives an air-guitar performance that leaves the audience screaming for an encore. He's so entertaining, in fact, that Kevin MacConnell, the schools' deputy director of athletics, told The Star-Ledger the school searches for him in the crowd.

"As long as he's there, we're going to find them," he told Aliyah Shahid and Brent Johnson in their story in Friday's editions. "The crowd loves it."

Check out The Star-Ledger's story.

Or check him out on a YouTube performance.

And if you want to see it live, check out Rutgers' game with Pittsburgh tonight on ESPN. We're guessing the cameras will find him.

Look for him on the football field in the future ... or maybe just on the big screen.
