Michael Brewer threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns to lead Austin (Texas) Lake Travis to a 24-17 win over Longview in the Class 4A Division I state championship on Saturday night in Waco, Texas.

The win gave the Cavaliers (16-0) their third straight state title and their 46th consecutive victory.

But will it be enough to lift the school to its first national championship?

Lake Travis is No. 2 in the RivalsHigh Top 100 rankings behind Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep.

Lake Travis struck quickly, scoring on its second play of the game. Brewer connected with a wide open Andy Erickson for a 57-yard touchdown pass.
