Talk about a game-changing play.

Grand Haven (Mich.) High's Nate VanArendonk shattered the backboard with a dunk in a regional championship game Wednesday night, forcing officials to search for a way - or rather a court - to finish the game.

The dunk came with 2:37 left in the third quarter and Grand Haven ahead, 18-15, Dan Harland of WZZM reported. (see full report here)

After a 30-minute stoppage - when game officials were unable to find an alternate backboard - the game was moved from Grandville to nearby Jenison High School.

Grandville athletic director Brian Parsons told Fox-17 that moving the game was the only thing they could do. (see full report here)

"You try to plan for everything, but you just can't," Parsons told the station. "We'll get the game finished and get everyone moved and get things worked out."

Grand Haven went on to win the game, 39-36.

It's unclear if they cut down the nets afterward ...
