Northwest - Shane Woodson of Piedra Vista
Senior Piedra Vista Pitcher Shane Woodson continued his impressive senior campaign with a 10K complete game victory over Bernalillo in the First Round of the New Mexico High School Baseball Tournament. Woodson recently was honored by the New Mexico Athletic Directors Assocation for earning the NMADA Scholar Athlete Award which includes a $1,000.00 scholarship. Woodson carries a an outstanding G.P.A and is committed to play at Campbellsville University in Kentucky. Piedra Vista takes on Goddard in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.

Northern - Yah Demarest of East Mountain
The East Mountain Timberwolves won a classic extra inning match up against Pecos last week in the First Round of the State Play-Offs and it was in big thanks to a stellar pitching performance from Yah Demarest. The Senior Right Handed Pitcher threw a complete eight inning game for to earn the 2-1 win against Pecos. He had 8K's in the game. East Mountain takes on Texico in the quarterfinal round of the play-offs.

Metro Area - Brandon Treadwell of Eldorado
The Eldorado Eagles came into the 5A State Tournament seeded at #10 and upset the #7 Valley Vikings with a two game sweep. Brandon Treadwell a Senior at Eldorado had an impressive performance in round one and has earned the honor of being named the Metro State Farm Player of the Week. Last week against Valley Treadwell hit a two-run double, had 4RBI's, and earned a victory on the mound in game two. Treadwell is a recent commit to Dodge City Community College in Kansas. Eldorado takes on La Cueva Wednesday night in the quarterfinal round of the play-offs.

Southwest - Regan Ramos of Cobre
The Class of 2013 Prospects continues his junior tear through the season as the Indians just recently won their 23rd game of the year. Last week against Taos, Ramos had a stellar performance at the plate. Ramos was 5-6 at the plate with triple, two doubles, a grand slam, and had 9 total RBI's. Cobre takes on Raton in the quarterfinal round of the play-offs.

Southeast - Brandon Slate of Carlsbad
The Carlsbad Cavemen are headed to Albuquerque after a two game sweep over Onate High School in last weekend's first round of the State Baseball Play-Offs. A new name to highlight to the powerful Carlsbad line up is Brandon Slate who had a huge first round performance. Against Onate he was 4-4 with three doubles, 4RBI's, and hit a home run in game two. The Cavemen take on Cleveland in the quarterfinal round of the play-offs on Wednesday.
