1. Longmont

With Valor out of the 4A picture, Longmont hopes that it is their time to shine. Forrest Wetterstrom is a dual threat signal caller who is dangerous with the football in his hands.

2. Pine Creek

Pine Creek said goodbye to a talented core group of seniors who pushed them to the title game. Playing up to the #2 ranking may be tough at first but their younger athletes will be ready before too long.

3. Denver South

South is expected to make the move down to the Class 4A ranks and this may be the perfect season. Running back Phillip Lindsay may be primed for a 2,000 yard rushing season as a senior.

4. Broomfield

This powerhouse wanted to accomplish more during their 2011 season but still won nine games in what some considered a rebuilding year. Quarterback Angelo Perez threw for over 2,000 yards as a junior.

5. Ponderosa

They may have missed the playoffs but now is the time to buy Ponderosa stock. They have Colorado's top player in 2013 in Chris Fox and will lean on a talented group of seniors to step up in the off-season.

6. Monarch

Never sleep on Monarch. This club seems to always find the athletes that buy into their system on both sides of the football and just compete from the opening kickoff.

7. Windsor

It certainly will be a tough year moving up to the Class 4A level after what Windsor losses due to graduation. But this club won the 3A championship and returns potential all staters in Joe Sanger and Sean Glenn.

8. Wheat Ridge

Getting healthy will certainly keep Wheat Ridge among the top teams in Class 4A. Some crucial pieces have graduated but their talent and tradition are hard to defeat.

9. Greeley West

Running back David Eddy is a game changer with the football in his hands and showed those skills over the course of his junior year. He will be looking to help his younger teammates adjust to the varsity game.

10. Montrose

The duo of Angelo Youngren and Drew Casebier are primed for huge seasons on the field and each knows what it takes to win games overall.?
