<Detroit U-D Jesuit 22, DETROIT COUNTRY DAY 14: Country Day dominated three quarters of this game, but blew a 14 point 4th quarter lead to keep hope alive for UDJ's season. Curtis Smith gave UDJ hope in the 4th quarter when he returned a kickoff 95 yards for a TD. Penalties, blown assignments and dropped balls were the story for DCD. QB Tyler Wiegers threw a dart in !--Start CurtisSmith200 Image-->the 4th quarter that would have been a third TD, but it was dropped. DCD had multiple personal fouls, and after two off-sides calls on a PAT, UDJ decided to go for the 2-point conversion. They got it, giving them a 15-14 lead, and that was the game.

EAST LANSING 27, Chelsea 0: Chelsea opened the season ranked high with the impressive Berkley Edwards leading the charge. Two weeks later, Chelsea is 0-2 and scratching their heads. East Lansing, on the other hand, has surged to two big wins. Javon Haines looks incredible and caught 8 passes for 113 yards and a TD. We're already looking forward to their Week 6 match-up against Lansing Everett.

Grand Rapids Catholic Central 14, MUSKEGON CATHOLIC CENTRAL 0: It appears as though GRCC is the real deal this year. Their big win over EGR opened a lot of eyes, and this one proves it was no fluke. A balanced offensive attack and solid D proved enough to advance GRCC to 2-0. MCC looks a little depleted this season, however, so we'll continue to monitor this situation.

LANSING EVERETT 38, DeWitt 10: A week after an impressive win over Mt. Pleasant, DeWitt was dominated by an athletic Lansing Everett squad. Everett hasn't looked this good in….well, we're not sure they've ever looked this good. Speedster Jaleel Canty scored 2 TD's and ChaQuan Love had the play of the game when he returned an INT 105 yards for a TD.

LIVONIA CHURCHILL 44, Grand Blanc 16: Is it possible that Grand Blanc, who many thought would contend for a State Championship this year, has lost two in a row? Is it possible that Livonia Churchill has scored 100 points in just two games and are 2-0? Yes, and yes. Churchill's strong start dramatically changes the outlook of the KLAA.

Livonia Stevenson 41, WALLED LAKE CENTRAL 7: Another KLAA surprise. WLC was supposed to be pretty good this season, and many thought Stevenson would be down. Apparently, everyone was wrong on both accounts. This one was a huge surprise because

Salem 49, WALLED LAKE NORTHERN 42: Is Salem going to be the turn-around story of the year? Last year Garden City won that title. Two weeks into the 2012 season, Salem is the front-runner with wins over Ann Arbor Huron and WLN. Both teams are decent, but not great. With Novi looking poor this season, Salem could easily start the season 3-0. That would create some serious excitement for the Rocks and turn Coach Britnell into a savior.
