Miami Gardens, FLORIDA - Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas rallied from an eleven-point deficit and scored twenty-one unanswered points to defeat Miami (Fla.) Columbus, 38-28, at Sun Life Stadium in front of over 5,000 fans. The two schools last met in 1963.

Senior quarterback John O'Korn accounted for four touchdowns, three rushing and one passing. The Houston commit is listed as pocket passer, but he was dangerous running the zone read tonight and gashed Columbus for big runs.

Running back Fred Coppet added a touchdown reception while going over the 100-yard plateau for the Raiders. Coppet is a nice change of pace back with soft hands and quickness.

Defensively, cornerback James Crawford registered an interception and senior defensive back Chris Washington picked off a pair of passes.

2014 defensive lineman Anthony Moten notched four tackles and defensive tackle Joey Bosa was disruptive along the interior.

Columbus running back Daryl Chestnut carried the load for the Explorers, but his effort came up a bit short. The 5-foot-9, 190-pounder finished with 159 yards on thirteen carries and two touchdowns.

Chestnut explodes through holes and has above average breakaway speed. He is quicker than fast, but he has a deceptive second gear.

Florida State pledge Jesus Wilson rushed for a 41-yard score and was the leading receiver for Columbus.

Wilson is an ideal slot receiver and punt returner. He has good start-and-stop ability and can stretch the field when his team needs a big play.

The game featured some talented 2014 and 2015 prospects that are sure-fire BCS level players.

Keep an eye on wideout Corey Holmes, cornerback Al Harris, Jr. , running back Madre London, and offensive linemanTyler Dever, out of St. Thomas Aquinas.

Dever transferred from West Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal Newman. Columbus quarterback Tucker Beirne, a 2015 athlete, is a 6-foot-2, 220-pound quarterback with a big arm and nice zip. Beirne earned the starting job after relocating from Colorado.
