SANFORD - There's quite a buzz circulating in the 5A Classification around the Immokalee Indians and they proved to be worthy of that buzz after thumping 8A Seminole on its home turf 49-19 on Friday

The Indians were lead by D'Ernest Johnson's five all-purpose TD's on the ground, on special teams and on the receiving end of a pass from his big brother, QB Tshumbi Johnson. They were also helped tremendously by Jacky Marcellus' effort racking up 150 yards on 11 catches.

The younger Johnson finished the game with 68 yards on 16 carries finding the end zone 3 times, while returning a kickoff for 70 yards that immediately killed the momentum that Seminole had built.

He then caught a 15 yard pass from his brother in the fourth quarter to finish with 155 yards in all phases. Johnson, who carries offers from schools such as Georgia, onMouseOut="startHideTimer();" href='http://Florida.rivals.com'>Florida, Louisville and Ole Miss was quick to deflect the praise.

"I want to thank the entire offensive and defensive lineman for doing their job and believing in me. It's good having my brother with me in the backfield," D'Earnest Johnson said. "Everybody on the team is family. Not just him and I. Everybody on the team is just as valuable though."

Head Coach Jerrod Ackley was quite pleased with his team's performance after the long trip up from South Florida.

"I was really proud of the heart our team showed. We were cramping early and often and we battled through it the whole game," Ackley said. "That's what these kids from Immokalee have that makes them so special. They're simply too tough to quit."

Marcellus - a West Virginia commit - was just as pleased and felt his performance was in-line with his expectations.

"We knew they were tough team (physically) and we're a tough team so we had to come out and match that from the opening kickoff," Marcellus said. "I'm the guy that if there's nothing, I can make something; so just throw me the ball and I can make it happen." "It's one week at a time. We're just going to keep doing what we're going to do and keep our eyes and minds focused on one team at a time."

Seminole RB Ronnie Moore led the "Noles with 83 yards on six carries, while adding an 86-yard punt return to his credit

QB Dean Wilson had a tough night against the Indians defense, throwing five interceptions, including a 50yd pick-six by Immokalee's Mackenro Alexander .
