Fort Bend Austin's point guard Erin Holt took no time to commit to a program in the Sun Belt. Holt played for Rytes Warriors over the summer and proved to be a defensive stopper

Holt committed to Arkansas State at the end of the summer evaluation period. The 5-foot-10 point guard stuck to his assignment of shutting down the opponent's best guard. That type of pressure defense earned him a spot with the Red Wolves.

"I had a really good summer and proved that I could play at the next level," said Holt. "I committed to Arkansas State because they have a great [program] and great academics. (Head) coach (John) Brady liked the way I played defense and he feels that I can be a lockdown defender in college."

Erin is hard worker on the court and is a "true" teammate.

"I want to get everyone involved," added Holt. "I am a team player and I go out on the court and win games with my [defense]. I am a transition player and like to get my teammates the ball on their way to the basket."

THA:ERIN is a fast paced point guard that can hit the open man. He can get in the lane and hit floaters. He plays hard on both ends of the court and will play high pressure defense.
