GAME 4 - Panhandle Pride on the line

The Skinny: Two of the dominant panhandle programs of the first decade of the 2000's meet in their annual game. Niceville is coming off an impressive win over East Gadsden - a second-round playoff team from last year. the Patriots of Pace were also in action, knocking off Arnold 45-6. Both teams like to score often and this one figures to be an offensive shootout.

Niceville ran for over 400 yards against the Jaguars last week - and looks to do more of the same. Something's got to give as the Patriot defense held Arnold to 187 total yards last week.

vs
PACE
NICEVILLE
Prediction: NICEVILLE
PLAYERS TO WATCH:

Pace; ATH Quaide Weimerskirch, RB J.C. Curry WR Seth Forehand

. Niceville; QB Andrew Mitchell, OL Nick Haynes, DB Denzel Applewhite, OL Carter Fletcher, OL Kyle Knight, WR Tyre McCants THE OUTLOOK: Pace lost a ton to graduation last year, but seems to always simply reload. Enter sophomore ATH Quaide Weimerskirch - who took the opening kickoff against Arnold last week to the house. RB J.C. Curry is a legit threat - carrying for over 100 yards and three scores against the Marlins last week.

For Niceville, this may be the best team since the Eagles took Lakeland to the edge of elimination in 2005. Led by QB Andrew Mitchell - who is also the punter, the Eagles use McCants in so many ways. Haynes is the dominant force on the line and when the yards are needed - the Eagles can always use Applewhite (a converted RB). Keep your eye on So. RB Shi'kim Coward - who had a great game Friday.

For Pace, it's a test to see how well the young team will handle a hostile atmosphere. For Niceville, it's also a test of stiff competition from a program that has been a consistent playoff team.
