The backyard rivalry added another great chapter to its book, as Pensacola Catholic edged out Gulf Breeze 14-7.

Catholic Junior QB Cody Henry threw a TD pass in the game to start things off for the Crusaders.

In the second quarter, Gulf Breeze QB Andy Creech found a seam behind top offensive lineman recruit Austin Droogsma to tie up the game 7-7.

The final score of the contest would be three yard scamper by Catholic Running Back Jalen Cunningham to take the game 14-7. Gulf Breeze did have opportunities with a key interception in the 4th quarter, however a lack in the passing game made it difficult for the Dolphins to tie the game.

Pensacola Catholic will face Pensacola next Friday, while Gulf Breeze will have next week off to prepare or their September 21st matchup against district opponent Arnold.

Pace downs Niceville
The Pace-Niceville rivalry is turning into one of the best in the Panhandle.
