The Cooper Jaguars swiped their fourth straight win this season after defeating Campbell County 27-16 on Friday night at Bob Miller Stadium.

Cooper (4-0) survived the one hour lightening delay and plowed past the Camels behind two passing touchdowns and one rushing TD by senior quarterback Tyler Morris and a big night from junior wide out Aaron Morgan. Morgan finished with 5 catches for 120 yards and two touchdowns.

The Jaguars got on the board first when Morris threw a short pass to Morgan on the team's second drive of the game. Morris caught the short pass and ran it 46 yards to give Cooper a lead that they never gave up.

On the following drive for the Jags, Morris and Morgan hooked up again on a 33-yard touchdown pass.

Campbell County (2-2) scored on a 3-yard run by senior quarterback Tyler Durham early in the second quarter. They scored again on a 34-yard field goal as time expired to end the first half.

The two teams had to wait in the locker rooms for over an hour because of two lightening delays. Both teams scored one touchdown each in the second half.

The Jaguars finished the game with 335 total yards on offense. Senior running back AJ Collins rushed for over 145 yards on 20 carries with one touchdown. Morris tallied 167 yards and two touchdowns in the air, completing seven of his 13 pass attempts. He rushed for 10 yards and a touchdown in the game.

Durham was the workhorse for Campbell County. He rushed for 162 yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries. Durham completed five passes on 15 attempts to record 24 yards in the air. The Camels had a total of 266 yards on offense against the Jaguars defense.

Cooper will defend their home turf against Holmes on Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m. Campbell County will host Conner for homecoming night at 7 p.m. on Sept. 14.
