Rivals High thanks all the users who submitted nominations for Week 3 of our High School Awards in 2008.

Below are the winners for this week based on games of January 18-27.

Suitor, a sophomore at Swan Valley, reached the 100 victory mark in the Montabella Team Tournament by winning all four of his matches by pinfall. He also went unscored on in his four matches. Suitor is the returning 103 lb. state champion in Michigan and is poised to defend his title with a record of 42-1 this season. Of his 42 wins 30 were by pin and he avenged his only career loss as well. In addition, he has only allowed 11 points against all season.

A Holy Cross LOI signer, R.J. Evans excels on the gridiron, hardwood, and in the classroom. A four-year starter at quarterback, Evans was the on-field leader of his teammates as well as a classroom leader as he was named to the Henry A Terrell Chapter of the National Honor Society at the Norwich Free Academy. Evans also surpassed the 1000-point mark for his basketball career at Norwich and is now the All-time leading scorer breaking a 29 year-old record all the while carrying a 3.8 GPA and being in the top five percent of his class. A Gatorade Rookie of the Year in 2005, Evans now shares his time with the Special Olympics and Unified Sports and helps raise money for the Jimmy V fund.

Averaging almost a quadruple-double on the season the 5-foot-4 Curley-Payne is one of the top point guards in California. While only a junior she has been named a team captain and shines on the court. Last week she recorded her forth quadruple-double of the season with 17 points, 14 rebounds, 13 steals and 11 assists against the Sweetwater Devils. Following up that performance on Friday she set a career high with 15 steals against Otay Ranch.

The Wheeler Wildcats moved up to No. 16 in the Rivals.com FAB50 following a 98-84 double overtime victory over previously unbeaten Word of God Academy of Raleigh, NC. The move continues the impressive run for Wheeler who entered the season with little fanfare.
