TULSA, Okla. - The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association has thrown out an appeal by Jenks High School for a player who was ruled ineligible.

According to a story in the Tulsa World, the group's board unanimously rejected the appeal regarding Jarrett Lake during a meeting on Tuesday.

As a result, the Jenks football program will have to forfeit nine wins from the 2008 season.

Lake, a senior receiver who has committed to the University of Oklahoma, played for Jenks last season.

He won't be eligible to play for Jenks in football this year.
