| Ross isn't instinctive and struggles to consistently find the football in the run game. He lacks ideal awareness off of the snap and doesn't routinely get off of the ball on time. However, he showcases good flexibility and initial quickness and possesses the power in his lower half to push the pocket. Ross does a nice job gaining leverage at the point of attack and overwhelming opposing linemen on contact. He exhibits decent short-area quickness and does a nice job using his hands to keep blockers from getting into his frame and slipping blocks inside. But he lacks the type of burst to quickly close on the football. He will take himself out of plays, trying to slip blocks off of the snap, and he lacks range in pursuit. Ross possesses good power when asked to sit into his stance vs. the run game but doesn't use his hands efficiently to shed blocks. His initial burst and overall flexibility are intriguing, but he doesn't make many plays and lacks the instincts to consistently find the ball. | Scouting report provided by National Football Post. |
