Rank your preseason RivalsHigh 100 Top 10

High school football - long the domain of small-town America - is now truly a national sport.

This season's RivalsHigh Top 100 preseason rankings is just the latest proof.

We'll reveal the exact order of our Top 10 next week but we're happy to share the schools right now, as they represent all five of the RivalsHigh regions and nine different states.

Here they are:

  • The South: It has long been considered the deepest of the high school regions, something this year's Top Ten validates. Bradenton (Fla.) Manatee, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson, Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington, and River Ridge (La.) John Curtis.

  • The Atlantic East: This is still not known as a very powerful area of the country for high school football but a few traditional flagbearers will make it to the preseason Top 10: Duncan (S.C.) Byrnes and Olney (Md.) Good Counsel.

  • Lakes: The area, more commonly known as a force in high school basketball, has shown it can compete on the football field, too. This year just defendning National Champion Louisville (Ky.) Trinity will represent the region in the preseason Top 10.

  • Heartland: For some, there's high school football and then there's Texas high school football. Known for the biggest crowds and most fervent fans, the area is pretty sharp on the field, too. Dallas (Texas) Skyline will get a nod into the Top 10 in the preseason, but there are many more capable of gaining entry - including Austin (Texas) Lake Travis and Southlake (Texas) Carroll, which just missed the Top 10 cut, coming in at No. 11 and No. 12, respectively.

  • West: California has the reputation of being the leader in high school sports, but it's not the only great state out West. Bellevue (Wash.) High will join Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita in the preseason Top 10.

So there you have it, 10 teams from all five regions battling for the top spot in the RivalsHigh Top 100 preseason rankings. We'll announce our order next week. Now it's time for you to give us yours.
